Chinese language I.
Chinese language course: The aim of the subject is to introduce to the students into the bases of Chinese language and culture. To teach them to write and read some simple characters. The students will learn how to introduce themselves and ask and answer questions, they will be able to communicate verbally, on a basic level. By studying grammar, vocabulary and phrases, the students will be able to understand simple discourses and some cultural introductions in situations of everyday life.

Chinese language V.
The aim of the course is to obtain integrated skills of listening, speaking, reading and handwriting in the hope of achieving the level of HSK3 Chinese language exam. By studying the texts centering on communicative topics, to learn Chinese characters, aiming at 600 words; to master daily expressions such as greeting, saying goodbye, expressing gratitude, etc.; to know some simple grammars to make a quick adaption to the change of situation. What's more, to study Chinese Pinyin systematically, laying a sound foundation for further study; to learn to write Chinese characters from very beginning and to touch pertinent Chinese cultural background information.
Chinese Calligraphy
Calligraphy is an art dating back to the earliest day of history, and widely practiced throughout China to this day. It uses Chinese characters as its vehicle of expression in which you can experience the deep art of Chinese characters and Chinese calligraphy at the same time. In essence, Calligraphy is an abstract art. Brush pens have been used to practice and improve people's handwriting for thousands of years. It has become a tradition arts and crafts production in China. Competences: Students are introduced to the basics of China’s tourism attractions.
Qigong-Traditional Health Protection Exercises I.
Include two parts: one is five-animal exercise, through which the practitioners mimic the tiger, deer, bear, monkey and bird, to strengthen the flexibility and healthy of the body. The other is ba-duan-jin, which means eight sections of precious silk, comparing with eight kinds of exercises, through which the practitioners exercise special movements to regulate the breath, mind and body, so as to improve the physical strength, calm down the mind and remove the disorders.
Qigong-Traditional Health Protection Exercises II.
On Qigong II. course students learn Yi-Jin-Jing. Yi means changing, Jin means ligaments and joints, Jing means classics. So, the practitioners who choose this course will be trained with 12 sections of special exercises to strengthen the flexibility of ligaments and joints by regulating breath, mind and the body at the same time.

Introduction to Chinese Herbal Medicine
Principles of Chinese Materia Medica is a fundamental subject of TCM. The theory is composed of herb and formula (prescription). Part I, Generalization and introduction, systematic structure module includes four properties, five flavors, ascending, descending, floating, and sinking, meridian tropism. Principle of prescription or formula, functions, and indications of formula, seven relations between single herbs. Part II, common herbs being applied in clinic, functions, indications, contradiction, dosage, and administration involved. Common prescriptions being applied in clinic are discussed, especially classic formula. Annotation, functions, indications, and dosage of each formula is discussed. Learning the subject is helpful for understanding TCM therapeutic idea and theory.
Introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine
This TCM course will give a brief introduction of Basic TCM principles, mainly includes basic theory and basic diagnosis methods. The basic theories of TCM mainly include yin-yang theory, five elements theory, visceral phenomena theory, which comprehensively and systematically expounds the physiological and pathological phenomena of the human body and is used to guide clinical diagnosis and treatment activities. The basic diagnosis methods mainly discuss the special diagnosis methods of TCM and how to practice in clinic, including the four diagnostic methods of TCM, such as face diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, pulse taking diagnosis; the basic ideas and methods of syndrome differentiation.
Acupoints and Health
Acupoints and Health course consists of two parts. What is discussed in part I. includes basic conceptions of meridians and acupoints, composition of meridian system and its distribution, as well as location. The part Ⅱ. focuses on the acupoints related to health preservation and health care in the meridian system.
Chinese Tea Culture
China is the homeland of tea which has become the national drink. Referring to Chinese tea culture, it has several thousand years of history and can be traced back to the ancient times. During the course a short history of Chinese tea will be introduced. The lecturer will give an insight into tea cultivation, harvesting and the production process. Tea types and the ways of tea drawing will be introduced as well as the process of tea ceremony.
Taichi
Tai chi, also called tai chi chuan, combining deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements. Originally developed as a martial art in 13th-century China, tai chi is now practiced around the world as a health-promoting exercise. Tai chi is characterized by its slow, graceful, continuous movements that are gentle on the joints and muscles. Done correctly, you'll find that the tai chi poses flow smoothly from one into another. You will not only learn the postures of Chen style Taijiquan but also the practical application of each in defense.
Analysis of Chinese Herbs
The Analysis of Chinese Herbs course introduces the basics of quality control of TCM and some of its products in China. Guided by the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, it comprehensively uses the methods and techniques of chemistry, physics, biology and pharmacy to carry out the analysis of traditional Chinese medicine.

Traditional Chinese medicine is mainly composed of botanical medicine (root, stem, leaf, fruit, etc.), animal medicine (viscera, skin, bone, organ, etc.) and mineral medicine.
